Research Associate
VIXI Lab, University of Victoria | Sept 2022 - Present
- Led research projects to iteratively design, develop, and evaluate new techniques for creating dynamic and interactive data physicalizations using various materials like textiles and integrating various electronics and controllers.
- Conducted qualitative studies to understand how materials like clay can support and enrich the data physicalization process.
- Designed and developed a system to support authoring dynamic and interactive data physicalizations using Grasshopper plugin in Rhinoceros.
- Led training sessions and worked with digital fabrication tools such as Laser cutter, 3D printer, and computational knitting machine.
User Experience Designer
Tehran Internet company (780 Sub-brand) | Aug 2021 – June 2022
- Conducted usability testing for fintech application services. Evaluated performance metrics (efficiency, learnability, time on task, task success, etc.) and self-reported metrics using SUS and QUIS questionnaires. Iteratively delivered actionable recommendations that enhanced the user interface.
- Developed a comprehensive user research roadmap for a UI overhaul, incorporating behavioral metrics (e.g. eye tracking), and self-reported metrics (e.g. awareness and comprehension and product reaction cards) to inform design decisions.
- Conducted a benchmark analysis of existing super applications to position 780 services as multi-channel, independent, and redundant, guiding persona development and design criteria extraction. Created a user journey for cross-platform navigation within 780 super application. Designed the user interface for a multi-service fintech and travel website, incorporating insights from both the benchmark analysis and journey map, and delivered the design files to technical and development teams.

User Experience Designer
Ketab plus startup | May 2021 – Aug 2021
- Conducted a survey targeting end users of B2B services to gather insights into their needs and preferences. This research informed the design of a book reading service aimed at promoting reading among employees in companies, fostering a culture of continuous learning within workplace.
- Led brainstorming sessions with different teams to generate ideas for the features of the online bookstore service, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with user expectations.
- Designed key features, wireframes, and the user interface informed by insights gained from survey results and based on gamification principles.
